Preview terms

Cameron Low, an individual in Ontario, Canada, operates the hosted True Canadian Maps preview. True Canadian Maps and Aello Software are brand names, not separate incorporated operators. These terms govern the managed preview, including Studio accounts, map editing, publishing and embeds. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so.

Accounts and responsible use

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and grant project access only to appropriate people. You are responsible for activity you authorize. Do not misuse the service, bypass access controls, disrupt other users, upload malicious content or use it unlawfully. Report suspected security issues to security@aellosoftware.com.

Your content and public publishing

You retain ownership of your submitted content. You grant Cameron Low permission to store, process, render and deliver it as needed to operate the service and carry out your instructions. You must have the rights and permissions needed for that use.

Published maps are public. Publishing creates public styles, location data and map assets, including earlier published releases. Browser-origin restrictions govern use of the standard embed; they do not make those files confidential. Do not publish sensitive personal information, restricted locations or other confidential data. Third parties may keep copies even after you remove content.

Retain required map attribution and third-party notices. Basemap data, fonts, icons and other third-party materials have their own licences. Do not imply government affiliation or official endorsement.

Preview scope and availability

No payments are currently accepted. This is an evolving preview. Features, usage limits and availability may change. Roadmap items and dedicated environments are not available unless separately released or expressly agreed. The separately released Linux x64 self-hosted package has its own operator and included software licences. The preview does not promise permanent free pricing, unlimited use, continuous availability, support response times or service levels. Any future paid service requires a separate price and agreement before charges apply.

Maps may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify information independently. Do not rely on the service for emergency response, safety-critical navigation or decisions where an error could cause harm. Keep your own backups and export important work.

Hosting and privacy

The managed preview operates on Hostinger infrastructure in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Data processed there may be subject to U.S. law. A Canadian managed region is not currently available. The Privacy notice explains the information we process and your choices.

Suspension, closure and changes

We may restrict or suspend access to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements, or discontinue the preview. Where reasonably possible, we will give affected users notice and an opportunity to export their content. Urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action. You may stop using the service and request account closure through hello@cameronlow.com.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or account contact details where reasonably practicable.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the preview is provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. Cameron Low is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate maps, unauthorized content or interruptions except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Applicable law and licences

Ontario and applicable Canadian law govern these hosted-service terms, subject to mandatory rights that apply where you live. Independently self-hosted installations are operated by their administrators. These website terms do not replace the AGPL-3.0-only server licence, MIT browser SDK licence or third-party notices.
